I'm thinking of buying a bandit 6 on ebay - its cheap and local.

However, because it is cheap and local it has of course been down the road recently. The tank has a dent, rear plastic has some scratches, and the plastic surround on the clocks is broken.

It has also been "streetfightered", in the same individual manner as every single bandit 600 in existence. This included replacing the bar, but then they could have been badly mangled when it down the road.

So, is a minor to medium spill - his excuse is losing it on ice - likely to cause frame damage?

Yo Robby,

Check the pillion pegs, They are welded to the subframe which is welded to the frame. If the peg hangers are bent, then the frame is a write off.

But if you are never gonna take a pillion then its a bargaining point! Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

inside the clock`s could also be damaged and i know it`s about £150 for the speedo alone , depend`s also if they land heavily on engine case`s this can also cause the frame to twist

That's why the later models' frames were strengthened from year 1999/2000 ?
