The rubber seal between the visor and lid itself has split.
Can they be replaced or is it new lid time?

Strip of bicycle inner tube, or a piece of wiper blade and some glue?

I had it go with an old shoei, I asked about replacement and they said no.

Creative.
I can't find a sauce for the seal and tbh, the trim around the aperture with seal on it is pretty solidly attached.
The lid is 6 years old after all so maybe it's time to retire it, shame really because its in very good condition otherwise.

Same thing's happened to my Shoei XR-1100, thin seal along the upper edge trimmed off and now bodged with a strip of self adhesive E section window seal, I could only find braaaaaaahn at short notice but it appears to work and doesn't whistle.

Poundland do a 27 inch inner tube in their pedal bike section in a small cardboard box.

Can take it out and have a look before buying to see if its what you're after.

Well I got a response from Shoei.

'Thank you for your email.

Your email has been forwarded to us as we are the official Shoei distributor in the UK.

In regard to your enquiry, you will need to return your helmet to your retailer who can arrange for the helmet to come back to ourselves for the repair. Unfortunately, as the helmet is now outside of the warranty period, the repair will be chargeable.

Please contact your retailer who can arrange the repair and keep you updated on the price and progress but a repair of this nature is usually around the £70 mark without carriage.'

Think I'll pop into Screwfix.
