Private road or track?
They make more than that as standard when derestricted so I'd be looking to address whatever is sapping power.
I'd probably get rid of most if not all of those mods. |

Yeah my username may give away why I have access to a private road! Ha ha ha they definitely don’t make that just derestricted as mine is an Italian import and derestricted from the factory! I can absolutely without a dowt say that the bike is quicker with the mods! |

I agree with Ste, that it should have been ok as std as an unrestricted Italian import. But there's lots of versions, specs and different parts used. Look at how many different NSR CDI's and methods of restrictions used on them. I can't remember if Honda Italy claimed 26 or 28bhp (crankshaft figure), but low-mid 20's should have been about right at the tyre.
Your spec has loads of intake and fueling mods, but little details on what else has been done? Who did the cylinder mods, and what exactly was done? And where did they aim at in the Rev range for improvement?
Does the Tyga 150cc spannie actually work as well as std or better on a 125cc though? I'd want proof that it's capable of delivering a good curve on the NSR 125 before I'd pay good money for one.
If the pipe is any good, the next thing you want IMO is a programmable ignition and a couple of £££ spent at the dyno with a tuner that knows how to program it, and more importantly understands two strokes. If you go to any local generic dyno centre that just likes to quote happy numbers it'll be wasting your cash and time.
You've got a big carb probably too big, and plenty of air assuming your open filter is big enough and better than the airbox (unlikely). The electronics is where unlocked potential lies and it's likely to make much more difference than your other mods too.
Lastly you can't really look at two stroke tuning as bolting on a number of different parts all as upgrades that will work perfectly together and add performance with every bit you change. You need to look at it as a whole as changing one thing will affect everything else, and that's where having adjustability in stuff like ignition timing, power valve control and power jet switching is vital when you tune a bike or change it from standard. |

I have a full power NSR125. If I want more power, I’d ride one of my 250 Yam strokers.
I’m not sure if the recknowned Honda reliability will be there if you push it further.
If you wanted to push it though a custom spanny and full
Circle crank would help. You could also skim the head a bit and O ring it as a head gasket.
A bit of dyno time to get jetting right would help too. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

I knew it was gonna be your mates bike bet it wheelies in 4th too they are 11hp as standard, 14hp with intake and exhaust restrictions removed.
A Honda RS 125 full blown race bike will make 30/31 hp! you are absolutely delusional if you think a de-restriction will make an Nsr 125 anywhere near that!
Mine was 26hp at rear wheel with all the mods after being tuned, jetted correctly, on the Rollers proven, factual, not make believe or guesstimations coz “me mate said it was“
So as far as tuning goes and my actual question flywheel, head, ignition?? |

Must have had a different pipe on it and maybe reeds etc, unless that reading was from the flywheel which would explain it |

It's a race bike toy used on farm tracks, we're too old and boring to understand such things. |

Honestly you lot give adults a bad name! 40 year old kid Hey!! I have a cr250 for the field but don’t have a bike liecence or cbt as previously stated it’s a bit of fun for a private road, can anyone actually read???
I like the old two strokes and just mess about with it to take my mind away from work, etc!
You lot are hilarious, especially Ste with his imaginary bhp didn’t want to get into a my mates bikes got more bhp than yours and it’s standard now that sounds childish so I’m sure your the kid!!
Stevo is the only one giving advice to the actual question, looked into ignitech and am waiting back on an email!
I’d buy a bigger bike something like rg250 etc but I have about as much chance of getting one of them for decent money as Ste has of actually reading a post!! |

Yea - 43.3hp for the official stats, but it's common for them to be quote the best possible figure.
Tuned up seriously I thought there were supposed to over 50hp, but by how much and whether it's a case of a rebuild per weekend or per race is another matter! |
