ZXR 400 Query

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help. I am looking to buy a ZXR 400 soon. How much would it cost to get a decent 1998 onwards, low mileage ZXR 400? Any ideas? I just want to get a rough idea of how much I am going to have to save up

A goodun, low mileage £3200+ ..........(in my opinion!)

it really depends on condition and any bits that may have been added etc.......

look in ya local adverts, bike trader, Exchange and Mart etc and go and view a few.

Don't spend much more than £2000.. get an older one if you have to, they are ALL the same really, the L models.. just depends on condition. The bike was changed slightly in 1999 engine wise but nothing noticeably worth spending an extra £1500 on.

You can get good 94/95 year, some ever newer! for around £1800 which IMO is a MUCH better idea than spending £3200 + for a newer model just because it's newer.

I've seen newer 99/00 models selling for £2500 ish anyway, just gotta look around and be patient if you really want a newish one.

I agree with Yams, Mines an L2...Not because I couldnt of got a newer one but I didnt see the point. My parents bought me my bike and I had up to £3000 to spend just on the bike. Whats the point in getting a newer one when my one is just the same and a better colour.

i paid 2300 for 97 L5

that was slightly more than i wanted but it looked so nice.

ive seen lots of 96~96 go for 1800~2000

should be able to pick up a nice one

Also dont worry about scuffing on the panels just knock their price down and get 20 quid panels off ebay, much better way arround for better money

Huh? You won't be going anywhere, until you've polished that whole frame, and polished it good. every square cm of it.

Yer, I've done half now. That will do for this week. More to the point I won't be going anywhere until I pick my bike up and fit the new chain.

I agree with this lot, I've got a W reg with 1500 miles on it, paid over £3200 for it, its gorgeous, BUT, I don't see the point in having a newer model, just because it looks mint, lets face it, I'm going to hurt it at some point

So I'm selling it to make way for an older model, and I should have some change left to have a little fun with.

No way at the moment would I consider anything other that a ZXR - they are superb
