Oh, and i made this. A Gate Activated Touch Entry Personal Assistant Lever, as i mockingly refer to it, or 'gatepal' for short. I'm looking to build many more and sell them in 3 months - 40 years time, after much more exhaustive testing/designing and wet weather trials, obviously.

As you'd have to get off the bike to kick it, could you not just use your hand to open the gate?

It's a bit like inventing a wiper system for a helmet, when a glove does the job of wiping perfectly well. Oh hang on,....

Mockery aside, seriously consider patenting it. Because its a novel simple idea thats bound to get stolen and marketed now...

I like the idea of just bumping into it with the front wheel and it swinging open... Its neat.
