Hello people, we have obtained a spare engine for my sons XR 125 and we'd like to run it up on the bench as a project . Is the ignition system very complicated on these ? The engine came with a coil and a couple of wires coming out of the crankcase with plugs on. Does anybody know what else we need and where the wires go to get a spark please? Many thanks.

Diagrams I have show it to be a basic AC CDI system
you'll need a cdi box to drive the coil
