Insurance question

Insurance for bike is due towards end of July.

Do you still get reminders from company for renewal or is it all down to you
I'm with MCE if that makes any difference to the answer

I'm also with MCE, they sent me a reminder which said they do not auto renew so give them a call or go online to quote.

For me they were still the cheapest by a fair margin so i ended up renewing with them through go compare so I got whatever was on offer this time... I think it was some Dine card for money off when eating out.

They should remind you. The renewal also serves as your evidence of no claims, so you do need it.

What on earth difference does it make whether they do or don't remind you? Makes no difference as to whether you need insurance or not; and whether the company does or doesn't remind you, either way they may or may not already have an automatic renewal in place.

I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't simply be proactive here and just sort this yourself (ie, including obtaining renewal quotes from elsewhere).

I am being proactive already been looking at new quotes.just wanted to know and if what Rogerborg says is true then I need it to get the best quote
MCE weren't the cheapest but nor the most expensive either for me I have no complaints so far with them however never had to claim either

MCE might not remind you but the comparison site you buy it through will, So will every other fucker you got a quote from
