My RX has obviously been an 'outside' bike and all the fasteners have corroded to one extent or another - can anyone recommend somewhere that'll be able to supply everything from wide fairing style flat cross head screws to various lengths and size hex head (Allen style) bolts?

Choice of colour/ finish/ material would be good too Thumbs Up .

There used to be a good company about called "Mr Fast'ner" or similar, but I can't seem to fing them on the web ...

Thanks for looking.

Hi

"Mr Fastener" still sell their tubs of bolts through M&P. There are also people like Hyperbolt who do alloy fairing fasteners.

Getting hold of stainless steel fairing bolts is difficult. Not found anyone who sells them yet in the larger headed sizes, except those that are shaped as though there is a large washer underneath them.

I tend to buy stainless bolts from the small bike shows from a guy who trades as Wye Valley Fasteners.

All the best

Keith

When I needed some fasteners for my bike I simply looked up Fasteners in the Yellow Pages,

Phoned two companies and both basically had every single size and shape of nut and bolt you can imagine, in all grades of steel and all threads. In industrial estate type places.

I went down to pickup various bolts and nuts that I specified and they literally had bolts up to 1ft thick (no exageration) down to every possible shape bolt you can imagine.

No doubt there is a place like this near you too. Just ring up and theyll check their database.

Cheers guys - I used Hyperbolt for a specific set of bolts and will probably wander round my local factors with a handful of the bolts/ fasteners which I want to replace. Thumbs Up

If you're interested in stainless fasteners try Middleton at https://www.stainlessmiddleton.co.uk/

Lots of experience providing bits for bikes.
Can call to order.
I've had very good service.

I realise that this thread is a bit out of date - but have a look in Yellow pages for an industrial fastener company. I went yesterday to "Infast" in Chesterfield with my old fairing bolts. They matched them all up and sold me bag fulls for basically f*@k all. The same amount of bolts from M and P and the like would have cost me over £100. Hope this helps if its not too late. Cheers!

I Use "Pugh & Sanders" in Derby ( 01332 206770), fantastic service and cheap.

Hmmm. I could do with new bolts and a run out to Chesterfield would be a good way to test out my rebuilt bike. Nice one Thumbs Up
