I took my bike out for a spin, I was on my way home and the bike cut out. I put the choke on it runs fine. Soon as I give it throttle it cuts out. Just got the carbs cleaned and got new spark plugs but not yet fitted them, can anybody help with this problem?? Thank you

Sounds like the choke / cold start jets are clear but the others blocked.
An inline filter should stop crap going into the carbs.

Then, I'd suggest you go and ask him to ride it. He'll know what he did.

carbs probably need cleaning, got some muck in them.

I had similar problem with my ZZR600 a few years back, I'd let the fuel level get too low and sucked some crap through (past the filter) into the carb, running with half choke on (never needed full choke even in winter) and a good motorway blast sorted it out, it was rough and jerky for a bit but after a few miles it was starting to behave again, dropped the choke off and it carried on being happy.

Sounds like fuel starvation.

Try it on prime. Also try it with the fuel cap open.

If someone has just been at the carbs, they could have trapped a fuel/breather hose or forgotten to reattach a vacuum hose.

Do you get a good flow of fuel out of the tap with it on prime?

Can you add these to make yourself intelligible?

If you were to use grammar (I.e. form proper sentences) we might stand a chance of understanding what you are typing.

Your statement above reads as a random collection of words.

These conversations tend to go the same way for 4 stroke engines when the electrics aren't to blame.

Is it getting fuel?
Is there compression?
Is it sparking?
Is there a pigeon stuck in the inlet?

Check these things first, it will help us to help you.

Alternatively, you've just had carb work done. So.. start there.

If you can get it to start, I'd be tempted to give it some beans and see if that 'unblocks' anything.

As has been mentioned, sounds like a fuel problem. Check the fuel tap / air locks in the system. Possibly carb to inlet rubbers.
