Motorbike hill climb night *PICTURE HEAVY*

I didn't want to post these in the general motorbikes thread as I don't want to spam it.
Here's some pictures from a hill climbing event I attended the other night.
Really good turn out, shame it's only on once a year, but we'll be making it a yearly thing for sure.
Some really skilled riders there and also some really nice classics.
A bit difficult to take decent pictures because not only was there a big crowd but everyone kept moving around, don't know why they couldn't pick a spot and stay with it!

Looks very similar to the Red Marley hill climb event.

Nice to see a wide variety of different types of bike having a go and some road legal stuff too. Otherwise it'd just be a sea of 250cc 2stroke MX bikes most likely. Nice to see the classic BSA 441? and the modern trials bikes, as well as the darling of the beginning of the 80's (Maico 490)

Yes there was a good variety for sure, it was quite interesting also to see a 2 stroke vs 4 stroke up the same hill, and then comparing an enduro to a trials bike etc...
I love classics myself, I was loving the smell, unfortunately the titend playing the music ridiculously loud you couldn't really hear them.
I noticed on the Facebook page a lot complained about the volume level of the music last year, it was the same this year, it didn't spoil it, but it did ruin quite a lot of the footage I got, with cheap 90s disco music overpowering beautiful classic 2 stroke zap!

Big mistake though.
A high spec competition style trick machine does not have a hope of being able to make up for both rider skill and technique, and equally so machine set up.

Tyres are a big leveller off road too, as well as ground clearance though that's not a huge priority in this discipline.

I'd rather be the pro having to struggle and work hard to make it round an intermediates course cleanly and quickly, than be the novice on the full world championship winning latest bike falling off alot in the novice group.
