So I've had a Piaggio Zip 50cc (With a 70 kit installed before I bought the bike) and it's been a really great bike so far, until I came off it this morning. I'm new to riding and I've passed my test about two weeks ago.

I was driving around a bend near a car park near my local Asda and since it was raining, the bike slid and I went with it, basically. I can start it just fine now but the problem is that the kickstart is locked in a down position and interferes when I have to lean to turn.

It also interferes with starting it electrically, which hardly works in of itself since I have to pull the brake to get a 'sweet spot' to actually start the bike.

Now that I got into falling off the bike it seems that the kickstart is locked downwards, but when I start the bike and ride it for a bit the kickstart moves about a quarter of the way back to its usual position. The bike now sounds nothing like it used to and almost sounds like it's choking for air. I don't really know what to do as I'm not a mechanic and I don't know a lot about bikes.

Help!

You'll probably need to replace brake lever and cvt cover.

Not a big job as only rear cable brake.

No idea what engine these have. Chinese, or not? There may be a flat part of the casting just in front of/up from the stand on the nearside with a number on it (if so what is it?). First thought that the impact has bent/broken part of the mechanism inside the case, from where the kickstart shaft goes through the case.
