Hi I'm new to this forum and new to bikes!

I've recently bought a 1998 Vepsa Et4 125cc, it originally had some problems with the carburettor which had to be replaced.

It has been running perfectly for the past 2 weeks, but the past couple of days I've had problems starting it. I charged the battery over night and that seemed to help for the following day but now when ever I try to start it up it really struggles and makes a loud bang/pop sound almost like a fire cracker and something shoots out the back.

I'm a complete newbie so have absolutely no idea what could be the problem.

Can anyone help??? Sad Sad Sad

If charging the battery overnight helps it the next day find out if the battery and the bikes charging system is working ok and you have no leakage / battery drain.

What is the battery voltage reading (as in 12.8v) 12 hours after being charged?

It 'sounds' as if you have an air leak or fuel starvation.
Maybe the carb inlet has worked loose etc? but only examination by someone familiar with bikes/scoots would know where and how to look.
Forum advice can only be best guesses at best and the quality of these guesses depends on the quality of info provided.

My bike dont go wut do? doesn't get the best replies
