Hey guys

Just back from 2 years travelling and bought a CB500X but the chain is destroyed.

Im temporarily living with my folks near Canterbury, and all my tools are in Bristol...

Ive ordered a chain and sprockets, but need to borrow a grinder, and chain press and everything else to remove the sprockets and reassemble.

Can anyone help me out in Kent if i ride over with the bits?

Cheers

A

What type of chain (hollow or solid rivet, presuming it is a rivet)?

If you can get to Medway, I can probably assist.

Hey G, it’s coming with a rivet link, but I ordered a split link for it in case someone wasn’t tooled up enough. It’s DID gold vx2.

Medway should be no problem, gotta ride from Bristol to Canterbury tomorrow so if the chain hasn’t snapped I’ll be able to ride to Medway if no one is closer.

Cheers

It looks to be likely to be a hollow rivet link.

I'll have to dig it out, but do have a kit for that around.

Rest I've definitely got reasonably easy access to.

If you don't get a closer/better offer, drop me a pm when your chain etc arrives and we'll sort something out.
