Does anyone know where they're sold? Maplins etc?
Just in case that you don't know what I'm talking about, I basically want to connect two computers via the RJ45 port, without the need for a hub.
A bit of haste with your repsonses would be much appreciated

Well, a crossover cable only costs a few quid, and the only spare ethernet cable that I have is about 15 metres long ...thanks anyhoo, but I'll still have to go to Maplins to get the crimping tool etc. ____________________ TiN

that PC shop in broadmead does them, i think my mate paid a tenner for one. There's an electrical shop on gloucester road that sells really short and pretty coloured ones for a fiver if you're of that inclination... |

lol...a "PC shop in Broadmead", and an "electrical shop on Glos. Rd.", can you be any more vague? ...the Maplin website advertises short (0.5 - 1.5m) cables for around a fiver, so I might just go with that.

lol there's hardly any PC shops in Broadmead actually! And I walked up Gloucester Rd. from the centre for 2 bloody hours looking for a half-decent shop that sold Red Hat Linux! Without success i might add!
Actually thinking about it I think that 'electrical shop' may have been Maplins |
