this is a bit of a strange one but it seems to consistently work for me. I have an NSR 125 which tends to have trouble starting. If I shake the bike side to side and try again it starts to work. I don't know why, maybe it indicates some other problem I've got but it seems to work always. So if you have trouble starting, give it a bit of a shake.

Very technical Rolling Eyes

Maybe your carb floats are sticking the needle closed, so when you shake the bike from side to side it frees them up.

Yep, sticky floats or a loose wire somewhere. I had a problem with a GPZ500 that wouldn't start unless you smacked it firmly on the saddle. Further investigation revealed a sticky relay.

Somethings loose or sticking somewhere. My GS125 used to only run with the lights on because of a nackered earth on the ignition. As I always had the lights on anyway I only found out when the bulb went 20 miles away from home.
