Hey Duke,

I'm pretty sure all the info you're after has been discussed before, have you tried the search function? if not I suggest you give it a go, often proves very helpful.

Regards,
Cougs.

The thing that I've found with my RVF is that I can get about 120 miles (maybe a little more) on a tank of fuel (13 litres inc. reserve) no matter how much I cane it Smile

I can probably get about 100 miles before having to switch to reserve (but I rarely leave it so close).

0-60 times should be very very similar amongst all of the sports 400s, although the RVF and CBR seem to be geared slightly lower than the VFR.

The specs are so similar* that it boils down to which feels better for *you*, try and get a few test rides to seel how they feel.

Though the vfr/rvf do have a closer ratio gear box, so slower standing quarters.

You should consider something a little rarer... like an SZR660 or maybe a Ducati 600ss

5.5 litres for reserve! Shocked

Wow!!! You could carry on riding until the next town (in Wales) on that! Though, touch wood, I don't know how much reserve I have on the CBR not having run out of petrol *yet*

Definately try the different bikes - they all feel very different, and it's what you feel most comfortable with that is the most important thing Very Happy

Anyone ever tried an SZR660? i always liked the look of it, until i realised how titchy it was dare i say it a bike for girls? Dunno how it performed tho, but with a TZR250 chassis it should handle fine.

Hi

Not ridden an SZR, but looked at a few. They seem quite cheap. They are built by the Italian Yamaha importer using the from from the TZR125 (which used the frame from a slightly older TZR250), basically.

Not sure whether I would buy one or not. They are not that quick really

All the best

Keith

Not quick, but I think they look really cool (the tail is a bit weird though) and they are meant to sound really good
