Hey so im doing long journeys on this bike using a roads. Sometimes about 6 hours on the bike. So was thinking a windscreen might make my journey more comfortable.

But im not sure what type of windshield to get. Will the small ones even make a difference? Will the large ones have too much drag?

Delivery riders around here often have really large ones on these types of bikes. Not sure what it feels like but I imagine there is some protection from weather and wind.

An SR125 is hardly a mile muncher. Have you thought about doing your test and buying a bigger bike? You can then choose something with a decent half fairing/screen combo and you'll also not be thrashing the heck out of the bike for the entire time you're riding.

Small screens only tend to work at speed when the airflow comes into the equation.

Also a screen can transfer the air flow direct onto your head making buffeting a problem.

I have to agree with Marjay, an SR is a nice bike for the town/city (my daughter learnt on one, Trevor he was called Rolling Eyes } but hardly a long distance machine.

6 hours on a 125?
shudder
young folk nowadays/all fields.. jumpers for goal posts rant etc

Weeny sporty screens are waste of time and money unless you're prepared to lay on the tank all day.
For proper long ride comfort get a tallish one.

If the top of the screen is level with the tip of your nose,
you have a chance of deflecting wind/air over your head rather than into your face which is noisy and uncomfortable esp on long rides.
A 'flip up' can help as well
My Beemer had both and after some experiments and adjustment I found I could ride visor up at a ton.
( theoretically ! just if I wanted too occifer!)
This made long motorway runs much more comfortable and less exhausting than being battered by wind and noise hour after hour.

Nothings perfect of course, you're still subject to side winds and buffeting but if you do a lot long rides even at say 50 mph it can help

While i'm rantin on....
Some years ago thinking it would help
I put a shortish screen on a CX and rode from Bristol to Edinburgh and back.
It kept the wind off my body OK but deflected it up into my helmet/face
the fookin noise was awful!
Around Stoke on Trent I chewed up a page of my note book to make impromptu ear plugs as I was suffering so much.
It was soon removed and binned

true story bro
