On how much it costs me to get the ZX-6R through it's MOT tomorrow.

It needs brake pads front and rear and possibly head bearings. And whatever the hell else they find.

A cookie to the one with the closest guess.

Thinking £50

Mike106 is being ripped off if he gets all that work done so his £700 to get MOT'ed doesn't really mean very much.

My zx6r, will also be going for an MOT next week, and ive covered most of the things already that may have been an issue. It was only the front pads, and tyres that would have possibly been borderline for the MOT, but if you are aware of these things before your MOT, and can sort them out, then they may not cost you as much as you thought. Ive got a pair of Diablo Corsa's from the NEC for £165, waiting to go on, ive changed the front pads, (EBC HH were about £36) i think for the 2 sets. My local shop is going to fit the tyres for me and then do the MOT, so all in i expect it to be about £70. I then need some tax, so thats £45, and i hope it wont cost me another penny for the year then in maintainence.

Tell you what, you move to within 5 minutes of work and let me leave it with you while I slave away all day and you have a deal. Oh, and you need to do it tonight too. Thumbs Up

I'll say £205.75 if you leave it up to them to sort out.

My word of advice is get them to call you before they do anything, with an estimate of the price.

I know I've already told you this, but once Citroen did loads of stuff to my car during a service without asking me, such as fit a wiper blade and charge me £20 for the pleasure.

I'd take Keith up on his offer of getting it sorted too. Thumbs Up

Mmmm, Foleys I take it? In which case add 3 hours labour to the bill.

If it can wait until the weekend then bring it along.

All the best

Keith
