The colour scheme is a bit too 'Girly' for my tastes, but as I bike I've not heared anything bad about them.

good bike, but a TZR of the same age is lighter, faster, better looking and has better fuel economy.
still, its a better bike then the NS if its got electric start. very easy to derestrict as well.

Someone had one in blue/white/pink at college the other year, I think they look pretty smart for a 125, performance wise they're equal to a modern TZR coming in behind the Mito and RS125 but it has the advantage that it won't blow up every 8000 miles.

Hi

Nice enough bikes, easy to derestrict (from memory you chop a wire under the pillion seat, from memory a black and white one, but please [b[check[/b] before you do it). That one looks very clean. That was a stock colour I think. Performance wise it should be OK, probably marginally quicker than an NSR but it will be slower than an RS / Mito.

Not sure about reliability. Think the power valve is the same as an RGV250, which means watch out as it may self destruct.

Quality wise I dont think they are that good, and the frame is steel I think so not that light

All the best

Keith

Yep that one is a stock colour scheme and there may or may not be a CDI restriction in place, a speed test will let you know Wink

yeah its quite a rare jap race rep 125. I dont generally rate suzuki's as much as other japs, but there's always exceptions. Think the motor is the same as the TSR125 which seems to be reliable enough, but like keith says it might have the dreaded RGV powervalve problem beware! I heard that these bikes make nearly 30bhp, and should do a genuine ton. In some ways it looks better than the NSR, usd forks, and banana arm, but aint built like a honda, i.e. to last. The TZR125R is probably the best of all the jap sports 125's for performance and style, but then the best ever sports 125 IMO is the gorgeous Gilera GFR!

Well, you may like the GFR, but as we own a CX125 which uses basically the same engine I can let you know that it has been hideously unreliable. The GFR was a dated bike when released (the steel frame and the engine date from the 1989 SP01, etc), and quite a bit slower than the RS125

All the best
