hi there I have an 06 Yamaha Cygnus X 125cc I got in a trade, first problems I had was it dying when stopping so checked the idle screw and it was bunged sa I cleaned it out, cleaned the spark plug aswell and now straight after starting it revs so high that the back wheel is spinning really fast, would anyone know how to solve this?

sorry you mean the idle jet? if so then no it was fully seated when i opened it up

Idle adjust screw too far in probably, try backing it off

Idle jet?

You have an air jet/mixture screw and an idle adjuster screw.

You sound a bit confused on what's what, what they do and what to do with them.
When you get a calmer tick over, then you can fiddle with mixture
if you must.

i feel so stupid... turns out the throttle cable was snagged...(cygnus x is fuel injection)

The xc125 was the one I had (carbed) , think the one your after is the 04-06 Wink
