Battery issues

Hi guys

My FZ6 wouldn't start at the weekend, not really a surprise as it's been sat for a while.

Was getting 11v across the terminals of the battery. I connected it to my car battery and the bike started but when I tried to start the bike without the leads I was having the same issue.

I then jump started the bike with the engine running on the car and left them both running for a bit (I know, I know... I've since learnt that's a no no) but that that seemed to fix the issue as I could now start the bike without any assistance at all.

This was on Saturday and I've tried to start the bike today but it's not having it. Screen flickering on the dash etc....

I'm assuming the battery is completely farked?

Start with a new battery, once thats fitted and the bike running check the charging voltage.

You are correct in your assumption. Buy another battery. Tayna are a good supplier.

The Numax one looks OK. They all have a 1-year guarantee. Whether it's worth getting the "Star Buy" (Yuasa) is open to question. YMMV.

Edit again: Check what type of/where the terminals are and their polarity!
