Wish I was going.
Just don't wanna be going abroad with 3 months big bike experience. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. you should mate 3 months is plenty
however i was just thinking isnt europe 18+ for 125cc plus bikes?? i may well be wrong!
so that would rule the trip out for 17 yr olds?? i am 18 on the proposed leaving date, 28th july!! ____________________ gixer 6 |

only thing im worried about is the strapping down, but thats been said to be ok, so im up for the cheapest
and its about a 6 hour ride from ferry/tunnel to the ring, well thats how long it took in a mini, so i think we may do it about the same time, higher running speeds/more stops than the mini an all ____________________ www.wilcollinsphoto.co.uk |

see ladies and gents, thats why we are going to the ring, so we can speed there, not in france. we wont be in france for too long any way, maybe an hour or 2, poss less.
right, we need to make definitive decisions on everything
like:
how many are going, within 3 spaces
date we are going, 28th july till 1st august??
how we are crossing-tunnel or ferry......or jump the channel on the bikes
how we are staying when we get there-camp or hotel, camp may be cheaper, but hotel, we wont have to carry tents, and we can double or triple up in rooms, halfing or thirding the costs.
i personally think
max of 15 bikers going, between 8 and said 15
28th july till 1st august
what ever, cheapest and one that can handle all of us
hotel, so i can relax in stead of feeling a little cramped, and the hotel bar ____________________ www.wilcollinsphoto.co.uk |

I dont know if you guys have organised this yet but maybe the following would be of some help to you.
We were going to go but cant manage the time this year so will be going next year now.
His prices are £325 all in for a 4 days trip and if you have 10 or more of you then its £299. Check out his website. https://www.ridethering.co.uk
This is quoted from a guy who posted on another site im on:
Ok, well six years ago at my bike shop in the West Midlands, we gathered together a group of our customers and embarked on a trip to The Nurburgring in Germany. Although we had travelled to Europe on many occasions with our friends, we had never done an organised trip.
We set off with a group of 22 - the idea being to travel to Dover, book a ferry, stop in Spa for the first night and into Germany on the second night. It soon became apparent that the group would be split due to the fact that at Dover they could only get so many of us on the boat. The rest would have to wait for the following boat!
First mistake - make sure you pre-book the boat!!! lol
We arrived in Spa at 7pm having had to wait in Calais for 2 hours until the others arrived on the boat behind us. Once in Spa we thought ok lets book into a hotel for the night and then realised how difficult it was to get us all in the same hotel. We ended up splitting into groups of 5 and stoping in various hotels around Spa. It was around 11.30pm before we finally bedded down for a well earned sleep.
Thank God for mobile phones - as we used these to arrange to meet the following morning.
Mistake 2 - make sure you pre-book your hotel!!
After breakfast we received a phone call off one of the guys to say he had a puncture in his rear tyre! We all went to his aid and spent the next 3 1/2 hours sorting out the problem and being ripped off by a local garage to mend the puncture! Anyhow, we set off on the final leg to Der Nurburgring.
So as not to fall foul again on accomodation, when we arrived at The Ring sent 4 scouts out to find a hotel. I headed off as the leader of the group and found a fantastic hotel with secure parking, overlooking a river about 20k away from The Ring. Without knowing it then, this became the hotel that we would use for our trips from that day on.
Ok, from the above you can see how the business was born as I realised that there was absolutely no-one out there to do an organised trip with full mechanical support and back-up, who could arrange the ferry, hotel etc, etc!! Hence "The Nurburgring Experience" was born!!
Since those early days we have become personal friends with the hoteliers, a german familly which is run by 3 generations and Tomas (the chef - who was incidentally trained at The Dorint) now welcomes us with open arms each and every time we arrive there.
Over the last 5 years we have run many trips out to The Ring from March to September, and have perfected our support service and route to a 'T'!!
Sam - you commented about our web site - the 70-80 mph pace. That is there to keep within the law in Europe and is a pointer to the fact that we don't find it necessary to run the harebrain 160 mph plus that we so often read about in the mags!! So in answer to your question - the pace will always be set by myself as to the level of rider ability in the group. Please read the itinerary page found on the web site, https://www.ridethering.co.uk/, as this sort of gives you an insight into what the trip is all about.
Should anyone on here require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Our mobile phone no. is 07967-728890 and you can ring me anytime day or night should you find it necessary to speak to me in person to discuss any qualms you may have.
I hope this post will get some of your members to read the web site and I am quite happy to offer a good discount to your club for a group booking of 10 or more (the maximum is 30 people). Under 10 persons the price is as on the web site.
Kind regards
Keith |
