Dear All,
Please can you help me. I have purchased a Honda CG125 (Brazil J Model, year: 1989).
I bought the bike to learn how to ride, however there are some problems with the bike. The front headlight doesn't work, nor do any of the indicators (front and back wont work). The only electrical things that DO work are the rear brake light and the horn. Everything else electrically speaking is dead. I have charged the battery & since the brake light works I don't think the battery is the issue. All the wiring connections look okay (I have checked the connections behind the headlamp). I have also replaced the 10amp glass fuse (which had previously been blown when the other owner had the bike) but still the headlight and indicators fail to function. What do you think is the problem...Stator coil (whatever that is?), flasher relay......or perhaps the regulator/rectifier?
Please, both my father and I are at our wits end. I would really appreciate any help and assistance anyone could offer.

The bike is quite old and I would be careful to assume that the cause of the indicators issue and headlight issue are related.

I would buy yourself a multimeter and do continuity tests to check the wiring to the headlight and indicators, also checking items like the indicator switch etc.

You could also power these circuits to see if they work then go from there.
