Hello all,

I'm new to online bike forums so please be gentle with me lol.

I'm looking to join a big group to go out on different travels with. I only have a 125cc honda pcx but still consider myself a biker lol. I really really want to join a bike group, i've always loved riding, having the sense of freedom, joy you get on a bike. If anyone can tell me of any groups or ride outs near chigwell it will be greatly appreciated.

Join the south east group on here, or there must be an essex bikers group on Facebook or something. There are tonnes around, just do a search, join, turn up and have fun.

Chigwell, Essex? Go to High Beach on Sunday. Get chatting to people about bikes or anything. Repeat regularly. Make friends. Soon be riding with others.

FWIW, large groups are a pain. Find two or three people to go with.

Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot about that internet thing Laughing

Edit: can you get a bacon butty and a cuppa on the internet? Wink

On second thoughts, you probably won't have much luck getting into a group for ride outs at High Beach with a 125 scooter. Well, I have seen some chavvy-looking scooter groups turn up there, but they seem to feel very out of place Laughing

Get a bigger bike - you know it makes sense!

This.

I go there often enough, so if you fancy going one Sunday, PM me and I dont mind having a chat and a cuppa with you.
Life's too short to give a fuck about getting bumraped in the woods, so don't get scared if I turn up in a gimplike black leather suit.

It's quite a sociable bunch there and I've been going there for years, it's not really anything organised. On an average summer Sunday, you would probably see over a hundred people pass through the tea hut. I tend to have a blast down there, have a look at the old 80s/90s bikes without getting talked to by the owners about how much time its taken them to restore them and then I either go home for a nap or have a scoot around the local twisties.

I'm not really into big group rides, less is more.

Sounds pretty nice but i did think they were an organised group as sometimes i see big group of them ride off together. I thought they were the pemc group as ive heard they meet near by.

Yea kind of know what you mean. Bit nervous about joining a big group lol.

What kind of 80's/90's bike are you into?

What bike do you have?

High Beach has been a meeting point for bikes for donkey's years, for anyone who rides a bike; groups, individuals, all kinds.
