I am trying to find out what year and model my bike is from the matching numbers *525-220288. I have put a similar post in the off road section of this forum which hardly seems to get read. Thought that I may get a quicker response here. Thanks.

I have found a chassis index on the website, it tells me it is a 1980 TY175 ( result, a few more CC's ). Unable to post pictures sorry. Thanks for reply.

We had that year and model as a farm bike when I was growing up. Great bikes. My Dad had very little knowledge about 2 strokes (in fact, none at all). We had it for about 3 years and I don't think it was serviced once. It always started great with a bit of choke, and the number of times I chucked it down the field with failed wheely attempts proved that it was a very hardy bike.

I had a good look round this solid little bike today. I am not in a position to throw good money at it as I have a 500 Triumph arriving. So I put it on Ebay this afternoon, Spares or repair ?
