Scala rider and Hey Siri

Hello All
Technophobe here who just wants things to work!
Have any of you experience of using the Hey Siri function over the Scala rider headset?
Thinking of upgrading my phone to a 6s that has the voice activated hey siri, and I would like it to work on the bike if possible, so that I can make the odd call when I need to. Any words of wisdom appreciated.

I don't think you need Siri to make voice-activated calls

“hey Siri” isn’t perfectly reliable in a silent room so I can’t imagine it being much good when it’s trying to interpret speech over road and wind noise!

I've found it works surprisingly well with my setup (Packtalk Slim and an iPhone 6).

It's the actual Packtalk that listens for the initial "Hey Siri" though and it can be a bit more picky than an iPhone for pronunciation... The voice commands after that are handled by the phone and seem to work just as well as they would off the bike.

Mine doesn't seem to work at all to be honest.

I've checked the mic placement, said it loud, said it quietly, said it normal, said it fast, said slow, said in different accents, it almost never works. I don't think it's the mic placement as everyone says they can hear me crystal clear on calls

If I need to make an outbound call for whatever reason I just push the button which kicks in the voice activation which then seems to work fine for voice commands.

Just tested it using an iPhone se.. didn't work. So now we know!
