Yep £500 for any car with over 6 months MOT sounds about right. My youngest is driving one of those shitty Corsas right now and I only had to replace the entire exhaust system to get it through the last MOT
Funny how bikes are more valuable in that regard but given that 100% of the maintenance is possible on a bike. A car not so much
Had to get a dremel in the end to get the nuts off the Corsa's manifold. ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

To me, I like fixing things, and don't like throwing away usable stuff. Anything more is a bonus, as you know/say. Yes, I thought that was about the sum. Perhaps I ought to get some old stuff out, but that's "time before on road". Ho um/. |
If someone gave me a bike frame that was in good condition and said "build a bike" I'd be straight on eBay for the parts and have something for you in a month.
Could you do that with a car chassis? ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |
