Hey guys, need some help. Got a problem with my brake light. When my lights are turned off the brake light doesn't work but when they are turned on the brake light is always on. I've changed the bulb recently and it worked fine for a day but now this has happened. I've checked both brake switches and they seem to be working fine. I've disconnected both switches and the brake light is still on, don't know if that makes a difference. My bike passed an MOT before this happened but I noticed the main switch console next to the throttle had been twisted round so I had to twisted it back to be able to get to the controls so I'm thinking maybe some wires have been pulled or something. Thought i'd see if anyone had any ideas before I start taking more things apart.
Thanks in advance

You do know you have a rear warning light and a brake light in the same bulb? Are you sure it's actually the brake light that is coming on? How many of the two filaments are lit?

Does your bike have a switch for the headlights or are they on all the time?

I suspect the bulb or damage to the holder is more likely to have caused this than turning the handlebar switches.
The dual filament brake light bulbs do need care to fit correctly.
Be careful poking about in the holder with it live, a fuse will instantly blow if you short across.
