Hi, new member here, my name is Arthur.

I got a problem with my scooter, PGO Big Max 2008.
The scooter is great, but when i get on the road and have my throttle open, for the first 5 minutes it runs well, but after that it bogs and dies.
I let of the Throttle and for a while it is boggy, when i let it sit for a little bit, it turns normal.
Can any of you help me? Thanks.

Sounds like a slow fuel supply, is the tank cap covered with anything and does the fuel tap have a vacuum pipe as well as the fuel pipe ?

Thanks for replying, there is only one pipe from the fuel tap, that goes to the carburator, and a filter is spliced into the pipe. Here is a photo, so it would be easier to undestand. https://files.fm/down.php?i=f4ftvbhj&view

I can see a plastic fuel pipe to a tap and a rubber pipe from the tap to an inline filter fitted the wrong way round.
Does fuel pee out of the pipe going into the carb?

The fuel is gravity fed from the tank (i.e. no pump) so as fuel drains out air needs to get in...

If you've left the bike for a while the pressure in the tank has probably had time to equalise. Ride off and you'll be gradually create a vacuum in there which will slow up the fuel supply.

A quick test would be to leave the fuel cap off (maybe jam a rag in there in case you hit a bump) and see if it does the same thing.

Does it behave better when the tank is full?

Its odd to see a scooter with no fuel pump. Could be that it used to have one, which has failed and been removed, leaving a gravity feed. Fine when the tank is full, not when its almost empty.

I mean remove the fuel pipe from the carb and check the fuel flow into a clean container without smoking and cold engine.

Just been working on a scooter today... gravity fed, no pump.

I took off the fuel pipe, the gas was poring out kinda slow, i took the pipe off of the fuel cock and it is poring nicely. Now i put a new pipe from the tank to the carburator and it works fine now. Thanks for all of your suggestions. Thumbs Up
