I have a linlun jl250 texan was running great then stopped , bad cdi replaced it with one from a scooter ??? got spark now but wont run could the cdi off the scooter ???? be to weak to spark properly ? any help will be greatly helpful .

What on earth makes you think a cdi from completely different model would be the solution?

What made you think it was the cdi in the first place? They tend to be quite robust.

I'd say more likely the coil if it went all of a sudden.

Actually, coils tend to break down when hot first, and recover once they've cooled down again.
