so i have a Yamaha Aerox 70cc specs such as malossi mhr rep, yasuni c16 city, 21mm stage 6 dellorto, malossi clutch variator etc,

Well today i upjetted from a 90 to a 100, not sure if the jet is the problem and i need to down jet but for my set up usually 100-110 is the normal, basically my bike rev's all the way up but will only go about 20 from the get go, say i hold it at 40-50% throttle it will go around 20 and rev all the way up to where it should for that throttle but after about 5 seconds of going that speed at same position it will kick in and just accelerate it did this before on the 90 jet too but seems worse now ive had the carb off and put back on with new jet, not sure if this is something to do with maybe air- fuel screw, idle screw or even pilot/ slow jet or needle? just want some opinions on what i should try?

also i did fit a new choke cable could it be that the cable is pulling to tight when the choke is in the off position?

I guess the bike kind of splutters and after a few seconds will kick in if i hold it above sort of 50% it will kick in at 20 and wheel will come of the ground a bit and well i would go down a jet but if it did it at 90 too i mean below that would be pretty low for my set up

Too rich/ flooding coming up off idle eventually clears and then off you go. Sometimes depending on inlet length , fuel can spit back onto the air filter wetting it , as speed increases it eventually clears and off you go. Fuel sploshing round the crankcase eventually clears. I'd think you are too rich personally.

okay yeah does make sense could this also be an air leak?
i mean i guess i am to rich as before even with the 90 jet in it used to do this between 10-30% throttle to so i guess 90 was a bit to rich too? or maybe go back to 90 and lower the slow/idle jet (currently 50)

90/50 is stock on the carb just most people with almost identical set ups to me run between 100-110 main jet from the people i have spoke to

but yeah ill try lower the jet maybe to an 88 (lowest i have) seem reasonable? or you think its to do with needle/ slow jet? not sure if it does it at full throttle kind of hard to test with how it currently runs but with the 90 jet it didnt

Look at Ped tuning sites and see if they have featured a near identical set up modified scooter with the same engine. Then copy the jetting spec and clutch set up and roller weights over to your bike to see if that gets you where it needs to be.

You've changed so much stuff all at once, and it'll be near impossible to just stumble on the ideal settings by messing around with it yourself.

If you can afford it, take it to a dyno tuner that's experienced in twist and go machines. Its total bollocks that you or I can at home determine ideal jetting and transmission tuning by looking at plugs and test riding up the road. You'll spend more time and money fucking around with it than its worth, and going to a dyno will get you a far better end result. I've been there and done it.

People think automatic scooters are easy to set up, but they really arnt even though it's not as critical on all the carburation circuits as a geared bike would be. You need ball park correct jetting to be able to set up the transmission and vice versa.
