Theory test is a pain in the arse. Stupid hazard perception, clicking times are all out of sync, just plain stupid if you ask me.

I might be totally wrong here but when you next go in (providing you have studied for ages).
Don’t go in, in a bad mood, I did the second time and failed by one.
The questions should be read 3 times over, maybe more if you have time.

The hazard perception I found easy, the trick is to concentrate really hard, I know the frame rate as the car turns may hurt your eyes but look out for everything and talk it through in your head.
Every hazard I found needed 2 maybe 3 clicks at the most if it has changed a lot.
Click when you see the hazard, click when your brain knows you have to change your speed/direction and you should be fine. Be patient, having slightly less clicks is better then clicking everytime you see car.
The things to watch out for, if you noticed, are staged, they are obvious and not to random.

I know I have repeated myself but it is so frustrating to hear someone else failing, the test is bollox.
Hope this helps Thumbs Up

what's it like compared to a car theory? do you get al lthem stupid stopping distance questions? I passed my car theory first time but that was back when they didn't have a hazard perception thingy like they do now.

Thing is, if you get the zxr 400 then when you take the theory test again you are gonna have more of an incentive so are more likely to pass! Very Happy Thumbs Up

The bike one is easier than the car one.
I didn’t get any stopping distances in mine.
You get some really easy bike questions though, like…….

Q: “When is the emergency stop button used?”

A: “In an emergency”

Q: “When is the emergency stop button used?”

A: “when you see a hottie with big tits drive passed you and need to turn around and follow her"

You failed a theory again? Why do people slag off the Hazard perception? If you have your wits about you, relax, look at everything and analyse every situation it is easy enough. Smile

No, I think it's the understanding of WHEN to press the mouse. The dvla website certainly doesnt help whatsoever.

My mate has been driving for a while now, had plenty of lessons, yet he's about to do his 7th theory test. Always failed the hazard perception. Thumbs Down

I passed my theory first time, but only just managed to scrape throught the hazard, and I've been driving for 12 years, a little worrying ? I don't think so, I only clicked when a hazard was actually obviously going to happen, and not on anything that could become a hazard !

Other people that have passed with a good hazard pass, have said they clicked when they saw anything that could become a hazard.

Hope this helps, and good look next time, oh and forget the practice runs, they only increase your worry.

Oh and btw, did anyone get the sheep clip ? I found this completely stupid, was I supposed to click on every sheep I saw, for gods sake I would have been there all day Rolling Eyes

hehe yes I got the sheep clip! Laughing Couldn't decide what the level of hazard was supposed to be - the fact that there were sheep? Sheep moving around? close to the road? on the road? I'm also fairly sure there was a sheep coloured rock close to the road as well that made me click. So that doesn't count as a hazard. But I get penalised for noticing it, thinking it *might* be a sheep, and so keeping an eye on it until I knew it was just a rock?

stupid hazard perception....

Wow, you have an E-stop button!?

Time to sell the ZXR and get the same bike you have.

(I'm assuming you mean a kill switch?)

It took me 3 times - all with 35/35 and first time 43 - out by one mark, second time 42 out by two marks then I got a "Roadsense dvd" from ebay, it's basically Hazard Percpetion explained. It helped me immensely and I got 53 or 56 or something. The worst is, I have to do it again for a car.

It took me 3 times. First time full marks on the questions and 1 mark off on the hazards, second time I got 4 more for the hazards......but the pass mark had also gone up by, guess what, 4 points the day before I had my test Evil or Very Mad Third time I passed by miles, I think more to do with luck than skill getting such a high mark. lol

do they do the theory practice software for bikes that you can get for cars? I used that ( think i paid about 35 quid but their cheaper now) and I honestly don't think i would have past my car theory without it. even the screen layout is the same on the software as what it is when u go to do it for real.

Shocked
7 clicks???

You only "need" to click once to get the full marks. its just knowing when to click.

Its easy for me to say it as I passed mine. But If you watch the video, But dont watch it Overcarefully. Just watch it. You will beable to see the hazard which they are getting at. There is only ONE hazard which progresses on each video.
each video has a few Potential hazards, but only one hazard from each clip is the progressing hazard.

Do you have the DVD / CDrom?
