Just wondered what the legalities of 'white lining' are? Is it actually legal on a single carriage way because I did it today and got a lot of evil looks and one man even took it upon himself to wind down the window and shout hideous words at me. After giving him the middle finger salute it occured to me that it may actually be illegal. So I thought id ask you guys Confused

Ah right. As Shaun said, its all prefectly legal, just be careful while your doing it, don't want a car pulling out in front of you. Also, make sure your extra careful in the wet and judge the gap in between the cars. I'm staying away from filtering for the time being because I was in the wet and I came off while filtering, simply because I misjudged the gap, panicked and pulled the brakes. The result was me on the road, in the wet, in between two lanes of traffic and bike lodged under a car Shocked But my mate who was riding behind said that he saw my front wheel slide on the white lines in the middle of the road. I guess this is a possibility.

Just be careful Smile

If there's a line of cars queueing wating to turn right at a junction (in the UK) you are allowed to undertake the queue. But if just one of them isn't turning right it's illegal Confused

The reason any car driver would have a go is because they are under the powers of jealousy that you have got further than they have. Wink
