Hey there fellows,
Yesterday I saw a guy in shorts, and he was wearing, well, knee and elbow protectors/braces, but I'm pretty sure it was d3o, orange and has the shape of them with the cuts in the sides for flexibility.
How would this hold up? Would it stay in place in a crash? And you might not loose the knee, but you'll lose the skin still
My ride buddy bought one of those cheapo "motocross" mesh jackets with plastic protection all round, I wouldn't trust that either, when it was colder he just wore a shit ton of clothes underneath and a coat over. |

This stuff?
https://www.d3o.com/products/
"A WIDE RANGE OF PROTECTIVE PRODUCTS DELIVERING SUPERIOR COMFORT, FLEXIBILITY AND FIT FOR IMPACT PROTECTION AND SHOCK ABSORPTION APPLICATIONS."
The motocross mesh jackets are also for impact protection and the description says:
"Wonderful full body armor (back protector, shoulder cups, elbow cups, forearm protector, chest foam) all attached to a mesh shirt thing. Made of light weight yet durable stretchable Lycra/mesh net fabric and high impact injection molded plastic."
I wouldn't expect the mesh shirt to hold up for very long when sliding down the road. |

I know, I meant I had never seen d3o exposed on a knee/elbow protector, but always inside the clothing, so I was wondering if it would grab and go out of place.
Same with the mesh shirt, if a bit of the mesh cuts up, won't all that "armour" just fly off you?? |
