 |
|
Somebody has put in a claim against me, apparently I hit a parked car on the 19th May, I pretty much only ride Monday to Friday for work though, and May 19th was a Sunday. Also, I'd know if I'd hit a parked car
Fortunately I have a Biketrac installed which shows the bike didn't move from home that day.
MCE still need to fight the claim on my behalf apparently, but hopefully it should be pretty cut and dry with the tracker log on my side... Hopefully! Who knows, maybe they'll be done for a fraudulent claim too.
Anyway, that's twice now the tracker has earned its keep, it came with the bike when I bought it, but there's no way I'll not have one any bike in future! ____________________ I am a bellend, I am a man of constant sorrow, I am a gummy bear, I am a rock. |

It's probably a genuine mistake with a similar reg number anyway, unless it's someone with a personal grudge |

There will be evidence.
If the crash was a completely fictitious event then you can guarantee the person making the claim has numerous witnesses who'll all say you're guilty as hell.
But for a fraudulent claim based around a completely fictitious event, it just seems very unambitious as with no personal injury claims, there's not going to be much profit in it for them.
Therefore I'm going to say that the bike which hit the car has cloned plates on it. OP can also look forward to some speeding tickets, police knocking at his door to discuss the numerous occasions petrol hasn't been paid for, an untold amount of parking tickets and that lot is just if the cloned plate isn't for use in a more serious crime.
You have to keep us updated on how this unfolds and you'll win many bonus points if you have armed police turning up at your door wanting to have a friendly little chat. |

What happens if the cloned-plate bike crashes into yours? Does it break DVLA's fabric of spacetime? ____________________ DAS passed: 21/07/14
