I didn't drop my bike, but a friend did :@.
He put it in gear whilst sitting on it - without knowing, he got off and pressed the starter button, it fell onto a granite wall and bent the front fairing
that was 3 days after i'd passed my test |

'Sort of' dropped it last Saturday before I was taking it in for a service. Basically the stand caught on some wood as I was pushing it up the driveway and I was on the other side of the bike so did'nt notice. Just managed to pull it up before it went right over. There's just a wee scratch on the petrol tank but other than that I was dead lucky this time. Tis a horrible feeling though when you can feel the thing going over and your desperately trying to pull it back up . |

On my first bike, been riding 1 and a half months, over about 800 miles. I crashed it a couple of days after my CBT, the week after i dropped it doing a u-turn, and just now i have managed to slide it about 20 feet with me still on it.
The first 2 incidents were my fault for being over confident, but crash today happened as i was forced off road by a 4x4, into wet tarmac and slid across the road, then the car driver decided to drive off, bastard ____________________ [Italjet MM5A] ll [Rieju RS1 Evolution] ll [Suzuki GS500e] ll [Suzuki GSX600F] ll [Honda CG125] ll [Pug Elyseo 125] ll [Yamaha YZF750R] ll [Yamaha Thunderace] ll [Yamaha R6] ll [Triumph 955i] ll [Hayabusa RZK3] ll [Suzuki RGV250] ll |

Yes, plenty of times, which is why it's good that it does a pretty near perfect impression of indestructability.
I do remember this thread though.

I didn't drop my first bike, however I have just dropped my second bike for the first time this afternoon . Well, not really a drop, more of a controlled lower. As I have no center stand I was faffing around pushing the bike forwards and backwards to clean and lube the chain. I got a bit careless and let the bike tip away from me past the point at which I could hold it up, at which point I managed to lower it to the ground (with much swearing). No damage other than a small lump out of one of the R&G crash bungs. I now have a clean chain and a better understanding of just how heavy my bike really is. |
