OK so my multibike insurance (CRF250L and XSR700) is up for renewal, its with Carol Nash and they want £35 more this year so am ringing 2 or 3 alternatives.
bemoto want £50 more on top of CNs latest so who to try next?
Ringing them takes about 20 minutes with all the dumb questions over and over Rolling Eyes

It comes down to how much value you place on your own time.
Are three 20min calls totalling one hour worth the £35 you're trying to save...
Only you can answer that one.

I'm with MCE for the insurance on my GS. I've got 11 years no claims, no points, no accidents.

They wanted £1600 to add my little 125cc Aprilia Tuono to the same policy for the remainder of the year.

Probably don't waste time there!

I've had good results for the last 2 years with Wicked Quotes. Haven't had to make a claim though.

Insurance co's cunch of bunts
beware of brokers

Just renewed my car insurance and literally saved hundreds using MSE
renewal price was £640 ( WTF?) MSE got me to £270 !!

It was pretty quick and painless too compared to all that tefelone malarkey

I had a look and they seem to have a motorycle equivalent
that may be worth a look.
I'll be checking them out in September when my Bike insurance is due

Devitt just came in with a basic one about half CN, but then started adding stuff on and were about the same.
Will probably leave it with Carol Nash.

Breakdown cover - two options - and legal assistance (not sure about that).
Anyway I rang Carole and taunted her with lower quotes, got £25 off which seems a good result.

Use Lynbrooks as broker and have fully comp policy for both bikes with ERS, 11 years no claims, breakdown recovery and legal fees.
Out of interest I shopped around and tried the IAM Suriety broker, (supposed to get lower quotes if you have passed the Advanced test), but couldn't get a better deal anywhere.

Royal Enfield Himalayan is £97.50 per annum
Yamaha Tracer 700 is £140.07 per annum

(with £150 excess)

Did you call CN? When they sent me a renewal for 50% more than last year I did a few online quotes then called CN. Eventually got them down to nearly the same as the previous year.

Yes, their breakdown of changes shows a new 'broker fee' which they more or less took off again when I complained about it.
It's not like there were any changes it just runs on with same bikes and same underwriter.

Bennetts wanted more this year for no good reason. When I rang them with the right hump and a fair bit of attitude I
got a very helpful Eastern European girl on the phone who was able to trim that down till I was three figures under the
original quote. Then I happily renewed. Just had the same with Virgin Media, after they sent us a letter saying our package
was going up by £3.50 pcm. They got the same browbeating from Mrs grr Wasn't that a worthwhile mail out Mr Branson?
you greedy git!! £48 pcm down to £26 Cost you nearly £30 pcm ongoing by trying to hike my bill by a few quid. What annoys
me is that these firms all try to get the apathetic overpriced renewal. I've got all day and can argue the toss as long as it
takes, just a shame I have to repeatedly do this. Everones a chancer these days, even your insurers.

Y U Ling cookie Boy?

A lot of those bastirts add a handling charge for telephone sale.

Moneysupermarket is aye the best place and telephoning is only done when there is an issue.

The bastirts always try to hike the premium.

I wish someone could explain where the increase is calculated?

I haven't heard of any 'workers' getting pay increases.

Are the owners rewarding themselves? The Uttur Greed Focused Bastirts.
