Where in the world are you based?
It's a 250 so if you have a licence yo ride it, as is you have licence to ride an awful lot else, as is, that need no effin about with.
The old GN250 made about 25bhp OTMH, it were no tyre shredder of a motor, & I very much doubt that a chinky clone made on half worn out tooling from recycled coke cans makes even that...
40bhp? Yeah.. Oh-Kay... take rather more than a turbo to get that sort of oomph from in!!! And if you blow it... why on earth are you worried about it's head 'breathing'? That is sort of the point of forced induction... if the head dont flow, you just turn up the wick a bit! Seems you dont just know not a lot about bikes but engines either, do you really believe you have where-with-all to try get almost double the power out of this poor little cruiserette mill?
Bottom line; there' plenty of engines that make about 40bhp, and with a big enough hammer, welder and angle grinder you could make any of them fit that frame... But WHY?
End of the day it's a chinky cruiserette... its a wonderful way to make an already not so valuable bike even less valuable, harder to insure and likely no better on the road for it....
So what do you 'like' about the thing, and what, could you buy off the shelf that has it, no spanners required?
To my mind the default 'My First Cruiser' is the Yamaha 535 Viagra; that has the 40-ish bhp you say you think you need; they are hardly rare or expensive, so for less money and a LOT less hassle, you could pick one of them up in as nice a nick and it'd likely keep its shine longer too... or any of the alternative small/mid range Jap cruisers; Kwak Eliminator perhaps, or Honda Shaddow... heck for not a lot more money and still less elbow grease, real deal 883 Piglets are hardly beyond the bounds... though I know you reckon you need 40bhp... lol....
End of the day, its a Chinky Cruiserette.. it is not a fast bike.. weight dont much come into it.. speed is power vs drag and drag is frontal area not weight.... acceleration is another matter, and there force - mass x acceleration, so heavier it is less brisk it'll be, but then thats the nature of the beast... if you dont like that, get another bike you do!!! Like a Shaddow, Eliminator, Virago, or heaveen forbid the real deal baby Harley..
Or just enjoy what you got for what it is.. a #cheap' harley-esque cruiserette. ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

seems likes a good option, thanks dude will look to find some locally.

An actual GN250 engine would see a bit more poke but unsure how well the bigger singles would line up. |
Not sure what your talking ? can you explain ,
but 25kw & 26lb-ft is a big steep. and enough for me
Any other suggestions are welcomed.
First i would like to thank you for your input
but rest assured am not some kid who as per some countries is limited to the 250cc rule
i live in an island in the southern hemisphere .
i can legally ride a motorcycle with 100000cc if there is one.not meaning i want or can ...
i am older than i like to be, and i have 4 diffrent driving licenses
when it come to cars i did some nice sh17 but when it comes to motorcycle am a n00b i cant say otherwise, other than normal maintaince (valve, chain, sparkplugs etc etc) from my cars and gensets background.
As for the turbo as i said my self its a no go ,am just laying down my options.
what i like about this bike that its diffrent. it looks like a sport crusier .and its one of a kind around here .people like it , the wife likes it ,i tried many other motorcycles but this one fits me perfectly . (length , width , height, weight).its also very comfortable to my surprise .
if i would buy anther one in near future , i would buy a used sports bike as a 2nd bike .
laterrrrr i will replace it with an iron 883
so i dont really care about the value of the bike as i will use it untill its useless as i didnt pay much in the first place.
hmmm basically force=mass x acceleration
meaning acceleration=force / mass
less force & more mass will equal less acceleration
Speed (velocity )= Acceleration x time
Am an engineer dude , i do it for a living...So if weight doesnt matter then you could push a loaded train using a 4 bangger .
Anyway your input is welcomed , i just would like if you can tune down the attacking mode .
am not looking for a drag star ,only "highway worthy"
i again repate am a motorcycle noob when it come to modifiying .
anther great thing about chinese motorcycle you can order any part from aliexpress for almost nothing with free shipping.
all ideas & opinions are welcome ____________________ EJ6 FOREVER AND FOREVER A HUNDRED YEARS EJ6. |
