Seen one on ebay for not much at all but need to know if it's the same as the Africa twin. It's the 750 version as well.

Cheers in advance.

edot-no carbs or starter block, are they expensive?-edit

Transalp is a 600cc version on earlier models, and its 650cc on later ones. There is no point putting either of them in a BROS.

If I were you, I'd be looking for a Pacific Coast engine that is an 800cc version of those engines.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Spoke to the guy who did the severe bros and after what appears to be ALOT of work and money he got 73hp.
Hmm... definately want a project but wondering if this is the right one.

The africa twin engine will fit straight into the TA, the ta engine goes stright into the bros (apprently bros racers use the TA gearbox for the better ratios) there is a very rare 650version of the africa twin as well...

Its going to be allot of work, different wireing loom, cdi unit (single unit i think) far too much imo...

Are you looking to upgrade or just replace the engine?

I've got the CB to get places but I wanted to make a bike that looks really rather ordinary but was crazy to drive. Thought the bros to AT was a good option but I agree the wiring loom thing seems like a hassle (been putting that to back of head).

I was really looking forward to it but I think my image of how it will go is quite different to how it will actually work out.
