I think my centre/side stand spring is a bit dodgy cos if I brake then accelerate quickly then brake again I think it hits the ground (I say think as I cant look down but I can hear something smacking the ground).

Is there any way of making springs good again or do I have to buy another one?

Thats a serious safety issue!!

Order new ones right away. Otherwise, take the spring to a locksmiths as they have lots of springs. And can make you one the right size. Best of getting a new genuine one (or 2)

Are you sure it's something hitting the ground? Check the bike for loose parts, check the front sprocket isnt fucked and the chains not slipping teeth making a banging noise etc....

Get someone to stand at the side of your bike and look for you while you do it. Also you can push it with your hand and see if theres any play in it.

Yeah there's lot's of play in the centre stand up and down but if it's too high up as in touching the pad it's also rubbing on the chain.

Might be easier to take it off and have a teeny bit more clearance to the left.
