Last night i had an issue and let my battery goes down. Don't ask why.Smile

Anyway, i had to use cables to start it up again. After a ride of some 20km when i get back home i tried to start it again, it failed. After a 20km ride, battery was still empty enough to start the engine. After charging it properly i check my mechanic to see what he can say, about it.

He check charging the battery and rec/reg unit and said that generator coil isn't working properly. On 1/3 of engine running, it was about 12V on battery. Over 1/2 and more throttle, it goes to 14V and above.

He suggests to change this coil. Question is where to buy it. I checked it on ebay and aliexpress and noticed different prices. Or should i try to find someone to wind it again.

Or anyone suggests something else. I am all ears.

Fowlers wants £333.54 for a new XV535 stator
which is absurd.
A quick look on Ebay sees LN parts wants £66.99
and this place wants £34.99!! ( posts wordlwide they say)
Jeez!, not sure I could rewind it myself for that and why would I bother?

Changing it is a pretty simple DIY job, lots of info on tinterweb
probably best to get one of these too

At £35 that is really a no brainer.

But according to symptoms, coils are bad?

I have read about it, that they just get dead. But not to work on higher throttle, and don't work on lower.

Your 'symptoms' are a bit vague ( nejasan/нејасан )
and you don't mention any testing you've done
other than some voltages

Test the stator, Test the RegRec plus related cabling and connections
before buying anything
