Ive Hit a wall in trying to find an engine replacement for my 2011 CBR 125. The lack of JC39E engines at a reasonable sum, that are also local, may force me to sell the bike as spares and repairs. However i'm curious to know if the JC50 Honda engine will fit and run well in place of a JC39E. I cannot seem to find any info on this other than some 2011 models had the JC50 and others had a JC39E for whatever reason but no more information about if i can use one in place of the other. and if so what, if any modifications, would be required to fit. I appreciate in advance any info or help that any of you may be able to provide, especially as i am stumped for answers. I have attempted to navigate the forum for answers to no avail.

There is no difference in terms of the frame between the bikes fitted with the JC39E engine and the ones fitted with the JC50 engines so the engine will fit and both engines use PGM-Fi so there will not be much difference in the electronics. Most of the parts in both of the engines have the same part numbers so it looks like a fairly straight forward swap.

Thank you pal, i really appreciate the response, I've had a lot on confusion with this over the last couple of weeks, i bought what i thought was an oil starved bike to find that instead the bikes piston had collided with the spark plug and placed a large hole in the piston and somehow destroyed both the top end and bottom end, so engine swap it is.
