Two weeks ago I rode to the mountain with my DT 175. But after I washed it, a strange noise coming under the seat has appeard. I've asked some mates, and they've told me that probably it's the MONOCROSS. I'd like some help about this. In the case it's the monocross what advices can you give me. If not, what can be this noise? Question Cheers....

It's as if a sort of sprin weren't lube enough. Imagine, an old bed with old springs, the sound it makes is quite the same. I've checked while i'm stopped, but nothing sounds strange. This noise appears when I ride through grave or mud or in slow speed on normal surface/ tarmac.

coat the whole shock absorber and its linkages in lashings of WD40 as it sounds like you may have forced the grease out of the suspension linkages and bearings. Youll prolly want to strip it and regrease the bearings as soon as possible.

Monocross is just yamahas name for monoshock suspension, like kawasaki call it unitrak etc etc

Go to either halfords or your local car spare type shop.

Its a silicone fluid that displaces water and stuff (is that correct), frees up rusty joints, cleans oily residue away, stops your locks freezing overnight Idea

Sorry if asking for WD40 bothered you, but I'm from Caracas Venezuela, and here such a product does not exist. However, after asking what this product looks like, I could go to a shop and buy one. Here it's called "5 en 1". Anyway, thanks

You wouldnt happen to have a link to an online manual for the DT 175 would you? I just got one and the entire wiring harness has been cut so i need either a diagram or a manual to make a new harness.

Thanks
