I own a CB600F (1998) which I only use for commuting at the moment. I have not had time until now (bought it 1 year ago) as my daughter was born a few months ago and I time has been a huge issue since.

Although I don't think there is anything wrong with my bike I was wondering if it would be wise to renew before something happens. It has about 14,600 miles (over 30,000 km) so it has not been used a lot I would say.

The question is, would I get any advantage? Would I feel a different and newer engine? I believe my bike could sell for about £1,2000 and a 2009 one could cost me £2,400.

Any help here would be very much appreciated.

The post Euro 4 bikes have a twitchier throttle, and you won't gain any performance benefit.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Hornets are based on bulletproof motors. Change your oil regularly, and you'll be right.

Its previous model engine to my cbr600, which is now on 117,000 miles. They were known to be just as durable.
