hi
Ok Ok theres no damage to me/bike or car but i still hit it. Heres what happened:

I was was riding to colleg tooday on a quite damp gray afternoon, I come round a long sweeping left hand corner with cars lineing the inside, at the end of the bend was jaunction from the left, i saw the car but it didnt see me.

He pulled out so instead of braking i went to over-take as he was doing 5mph and i was doing about 30. Anyway as i did this the dozy bugger pulled right over to right without any indication, nothing. I slamed on the ancors with the back tyer slipping about wildly, but it was'nt good enough.

The car banged into the left-side of mt bike pushing it into the kerb, wher it subsicently fell over chucking me on my back, leaving the bike lieing on the curb. Bloke gets out and its dodgy old geezer and says "didnt see ya", i couldnt really shout at him, just told him to use his indicators, and look out for bikers in future.

Anyway picked up the bike to find no damage at all on both side, few!

I think i was well lucky, soz about the essay Razz

Luke

PRobably worth at least a small shout at someone like that... I'd be really tempted to say something along the lines of:

Can I suggest you *don't* drive home as you're obviously unfit to drive in your current state, if you do decide to drive I will be forced to alert the Police because I belive you are a danger to other road users.

IMHO it's usually worth having bit of a go at people... so hopefully they'll think next time, when it might be you or someone close to you going faster and not able to slow down enough.

Also worth asking ... 'What if I'd been a truck?... you'd be squashed flat now'

You lucky sod Luke!

I'm amazed there is no damage to the bike, even better that you're ok. I think I'd definately been tempted to give the guy a guilt trip, or at least have a good old rant - never hurts to release some tension eh?

tanners right about december and jan being shite, its those two that i crash in most. riding to school is always fun, seeing as i go to school in a town 10 miles away about a mile higher up, so as i get closer to school it gets colder and icier. the snow looks nice for the last few miles.

(un)lucky mate Neutral

I can't believe that there isn't *any* damage to the bike at all? Confused...not even a few scratches?

It's amazing how you can brush against a bike and leave marks over the bodywork, or bin it and come out unscathed Smile

Anyhoo, it is good to hear that you are ok, and that you are mortal like the rest of us Wink

I had a similar incident to that a while ago retrofly!
Kinda sucked a bit though, and i also had the back wheel bobbing like mad. still it put a knee size dent in her car and a foot long scratch.
And hey i still havent been done about it.
Scoot has avoided another hit n run!
