Hi all I've bought a sinnis apache smr 125 the 2019 model about 3 weeks ago now. One day on the way home from work the bike just cut out and there was no electrics at all, no response when I turn ignition key, so I ring the aa and get them to take it back to garage as the bike is only one week old, the garage then say that the wire that goes to my rear break light had melted onto the exhaust causing the fuses to blow. So I then get the bike back about 2 days ago and the same things happened, however I just had to turn the ignition on and turn the handle bars at the same time and it started up so was a long journey back home. So I get it home and ring the garage that did the work and they said to just ring the garage I purchased it from. So I do then they say to just ring sinnis themselves. So I ring them and they basically say they are an office and is nothing they can do :/ Now I've just gone back out to my bike and it's not doing anything at all whether it turn the bars or not, has anyone had any similar issues or know what's up. The bike is covered under the two year warranty but no one seems to want to do the work..... any help would be really appreciated, Thanks luke Smile

Was going to say, this screams warranty job.

That is simply not good enough from their office. I would ring back and explain what has happened, that you purchased the bike with a warranty, which dealer you got it from and that it needs to be sorted.

Sounds like you got unlucky with someone clueless in their office, would try again, and ask to speak to a manager if they give you the same.

So youd reccomend ringing sinnis again then, i have taken it to garage previously and they fitted a brand new wiring loom so what would the next step be, surely not fitting another wiring loom?? Or would ot be a case of getting a new bike sent out

Sounds to me like typical buck passing.

I presume Sinnis don't have a dealer network. Any dealer that buys them in is an independent who has to claim back any warranty work from Sinnis who don't want to pay.

Being the cynic I am, I'm pretty sure that's one reason (of many) why they are so cheap when new.

I can't help you, I have no experience of those who deal with Chinese bikes. I suspect you are going to have to fight, threaten and probably get legal with them.

Do you have the original warranty document?

To be clear, there is now a fault in the loom after it was replaced? Wiggling the bars makes it cut in and out?

Dealers responsibility. Take it there, and keep taking it there until they take it back and you buy a used Jap bike or they actually repair it.

It'll break again later most likely, is Chinese, but they should be fixing it right now.
