Just wondering how fast have you got to on the road without being caught, or if you have been caught doing silly speeds how fast were you going? What kind of penalties did you get ?

169 mph on the back of a Gixxer thou.

Last autumn on the norwich bypass.

Its a very strange kind of speed - its so noisy its quiet and you almost have an urge to let go and fall.

Crescent blue - gorgeous, til it was nicked the cnuts...

Got caught on the back again of said gixxer pulling a fat mono but we only got a telling off.

Indicated 168 MPH.

TBH 120-160 there's not much difference. I'm sure once you get to 180 it seems faster, but I'm yet to have a bike fast enough for that Crying or Very sad

Plus the speed feels faster or slower depending on where you do it. 160 on a nice smooth wide race circuit is nothing compared to 120 along a narrow country road.

Anyway speeding on the roads is bad blah blah blah

92mph down the Crimea (it's a mountain).

My bike is restricted and it's not exactly built for speed anyway.

lilredbaron, whats the top speed you have had out of your KR1-S? As I know they can reach pretty good speeds (130?) and with very quick acceleration.

BTW my top speed is 65 on a Peugeot Speedfight Laughing

I dont think ive ever exceeded about 95mph on any bike in the u.k. Im going to do the first of many track days in June, and so im hoping that will increase a bit depending on the track, and my riding i suppose. Im generally for keeping loosely within u.k. speed limits on the roads, I dont much exceed 80mph on motorways, and 65-75mph on A roads. occasionally on a quiet B road out in the country ive been up to 80-90mph a few times, but i usually like to pick roads where they are too technical to do that speed, and that you cant take corners at even 50-60mph sometimes, as these roads are more fun for sure! I havn't found a better example of these roads yet than North Wales, though i really want to ride into the Scottish highlands this year for the best biking roads in Britain?

On a French autoroute ive clocked 128mph on the zx6, but that was with my expanded tankbag way over the top of the screen, so i didnt think too much for it at the time!

160mph, a speed which annoyingly I've hit a couple of times (including this afternoon Whistle ).

By annoyingly, I mean if I'm doing 160mph, it might as well be flat out at 170-175mph for the difference it makes.
