Well after going down the road the other week there I decided that my old helmet had taken enough of a beating and decided to get myself a new one!

Tried every lid on in the shop, was looking to buy an AGV lid but there was no go between the medium and large. Then I tried on a cool Shark helmet but the colour scheme I wanted was sold out...

So what did I get, plain black and excellent fitting Shoei Raid helmet. Easily the best helmet I've ever tried on. Great fit and finish and easy visor realise system.

Was a bit dearer than what I was initially looking at and as my GF was buying it for me I didn't want it to cost too much. Big thankyou to her. After I came off I expected a lecture about selling the bike or something like that but she wants me to get back on the road ASAP!!

To make the day even better I somehow managed to repair my boots with a piece of sand paper, a lighter and some boot polish! They are like new!!

Can't see why not. I'm hoping to have the bike repaired and back on the road by the end of this month at latest.

Cheers, best fitting lid I've ever tried (and very light too).

It will be a B&B. Not confirmed everything yet, been too busy looking for spare parts but if I can't get a room I'll just rough it with a tent.
