We don't have to believe the story but people can be nicer to each other for a while during Christmas Time.

It's the only time of year the literate world pays attention to peace.

Have a good one and if you can't do that then still try to be kind to others.

It's weird. In amongst the shite we take and dish out for last 300+ days.
We suddenly get all mushy for a week. Things matter, how we treat each other matters, doing things but not expecting something back. Not assuming the worst in someone else or playing them for our gain.

Can we really only fake it for a few days a year. Or is it in us all the time...

BCF has proven time and again, that Christmas is in everyone all the time. And crucially, acted upon throughout the year.

Thanks to you all, best wishes for 2020 Thumbs Up

U WOT M8?

All I'm asking, politely I might add, is what kind of job requires you to be nice to people all year long, that you would want to get time off from that at this time of year.

So the punch line of your joke is, that the Continentals put sick people into cages? Thinking

EDIT: You were right, though, in a way. Some time ago, psychiatric hospitals, we would put mentally challenged (ill) people, the self destructive and run away types, into beds with a net kind of enclosure that could be considered a cage. Razz

Anyway, as I have never heard of the third sector social service, does this explain what you do - https://www.nao.org.uk/successful-commissioning/introduction/working-with-civil-society-organisations/ ?

Yes, third sector means private contractors.
I don't know what the situation is in the Czech Republic regarding care services but ex communist bloc countries have a dire reputation in this area.
