I was there last year, (rode all the way up from London) was a good weekend.

The headline band on the Friday has changed and we are now presenting the Steve Gilroy Band.

Getting near now so this posting is a blatant attempt to get back near the top. Laughing

For all those going on the run: Please be careful. We have been informed by the Council and the Police that they will not tolerate road-blocking and that there will be no Police Riders with us this year. They seem to think that road blocking causes traffic congestion - just wait 'til they see the effect of 500 bikes trying to turn right at a junction waiting for gaps in the traffic.

The run will go ahead but will take longer than all the years when we had Police support.

We do apologise for the inconvenience, but the anti-bike elements seem to have taken over in positions of authority.

that's a shame, it seems like the pol;ice are trying to kill it.

there was loads there last year and it went ok, apart from someone going up the ass of a trike if I remember rightly.

A big thanks to all who attended and made it the most successful ever (despite low temperatures, fog and drizzle).

After a number of questions asked at the run I must clarify a few points:

This is not the last Egg Run. We are moving to a larger site next year because we have outgrown the Bebside Inn. I will post details of the new "Egg Run Village" in good time for next year.

Although we didn't have police outriders we did have their support in allowing us to marshall the run, without which we couldn't have held the run. (Just hope the town centre CCTV didn't record all the wheelies and stoppies )

Again, thank you all for making it such good fun.
